Jean Mary (Skeats) Ivancic

Jean Mary (Skeats) Ivancic, 92, a 51 year resident of Georgetown and formerly of Buffalo, NY, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, February 18, 2019. Jean was born in Cardiff, Wales on June 24, 1926 to the late John and Ruth (Davies) Skeats. After graduating high school, Jean attended Bryant and Stratton business school and went on to work for Pratt and Lambert.  She later worked for the I.R.S. in Andover, MA. In her retirement, Jean enjoyed volunteering her time at Lawrence General Hospital. Jean also enjoyed skiing, and her memberships in Kreative Krafters and the St. Mary's Women's Club. Jean loved spending time with friends and family at her home in Clearwater, FL and at the cottage she shared with her sister Margaret on Lake Kawagama. Jean’s greatest passion was always being in the company of her beloved family. 
Jean was the loving wife of the late Robert E. Ivancic and is survived by their five children, Susan J. Sullivan and her husband Andrew of Newton, NH, Thomas J. Ivancic and his wife Whitney of Amesbury, Robert J. Ivancic and his wife Susan of Framingham, Margaret J. Chernaik and her husband Michael of North Chelmsford, and Peter J. Ivancic and his wife Jennifer of Haverhill, her grandchildren, Amy, Melanie, Stephanie, Steven, Tim, Valerie, Brian, Adam, Melissa, Michael, Michelle, Jack and Ryan as well as her 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving sister Margaret (Skeats) Grupp.
Family and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Saturday, February 23rd at 10:30am at St. Mary's Church, Georgetown. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 to 8pm at the Conte - Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown.
