Joseph McGrath, 59, resident of Rowley passed away after a long triumph over quadriplegia. He is survived by his wife Nancy, whom he met 40 years ago on St. Patrick's Day; his children Daniel, Stephanie, and Christina; his brothers Robert, Kevin, and Justin; his father Alfred; and many other family members and friends. He is predeceased by his mother Anne. Joe was born in Boston and grew up in Foxboro. Throughout his life, he was passionate about sports, a fierce competitor and a loyal follower of Boston sports teams. Joe was a lover of words, always enthusiastic about a game of scrabble or a clever crossword puzzle. He attended Niagara University where he studied Communications and played tennis. He went on to work at Verizon for over 30 years. Joe approached life with a unique positivity which empowered those around him. His family meant the world to him, and it gave him great joy to be a part of their lives.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Joe's Funeral Mass on Wednesday, March 20th at 1 O'clock to be celebrated in St. Mary's Parish, Georgetown. Interment will follow at Harmony Cemetery. Georgetown. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 8pm in the Conte - Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown.
