Margaret M. (Burke) Murphy, 95, of Bradford, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019, at the Kaplan Hospice House in Danvers, Ma. surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of the late John P. Murphy of Groveland. Born in Lynn, Ma. on June 17, 1924, she was the daughter of Thomas M. Burke and Sarah (O'Rourke) Burke. She was a member of the first graduating class at Lynn English High School in 1942. Known for her quick wit and ready laugh she was known to family and friends as "Mother Marge" and later as "Grammy Marge." Many called her their second mother. A lover of dancing and music, Marge was always the first to hit the dance floor. Children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will always remember the hilarious lyrics to "My Sweet Hortense" and other ditties. She was dearly loved by her children, the late Theresa Vynorius and her husband, the late Robert Vynorius of West Newbury, Margaret (Mark) Hoeltke of Florida, Mary Murphy of Haverhill, Ma., John (Valerie) Murphy of Danville, NH, and Denyse Murphy of Bradford, Ma.
She was treasured by her grandchildren; Erin (Matthew) Maloney, Joshua Vynorius, Nicole (Roman) Klyuyev, Benjamin (Angela) Hoeltke, John Hoeltke and many great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Monday, October 28th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Conte - Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street., Georgetown. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9 a.m. at Sacred Hearts Church, 165 S. Main St., Bradford. Burial will follow at Harmony Cemetery, Georgetown.
