Sheila Dunton Obituary

Sheila A. Dunton, 77, of Georgetown, Ma. formerly of Gloucester, Mass. passed away peacefully at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport Mass. on Thursday, February 14, 2019. Sheila graduated from Gloucester High School. She was an artist and owned and operated her own ceramics studio located at her home address. She offered and taught ceramics to a large group of eager artistic students. She was loved by all who took her classes. Sheila loved family and friends with all of her heart and she was sure to always have her door open to allow people to come in to sit, eat, chat and just be. When summer months rolled around, the pool opened up and she was ready for entertaining and cookouts. The neighborhood kids always knew where to go for summer fun! If not by the pool, you could find her at the beach. Sheila loved the beach! She spent a lot of time at Salisbury reservation surrounded by family and friends. She also adored Christmas with all the fixings!  Some of Sheila’s hobbies were camping, cooking, crafting, card games, scratch tickets and good conversation. She adored her two fur babies Koda and Holly, she will now have them both by her side. Sheila will truly be missed by all who loved her. Sheila is survived by her first husband, Harold Dunton of Georgetown, Mass.; life partner, Larry Griffiths of Georgetown, Ma.; daughter, Noelle Heil and her husband Duane of Salem, N.H.; son, Travis Dunton and his wife Donna of Peabody Mass.; son, Jason Griffiths and his husband Delwin of Maine, daughter, Pamela Carrozza of Salem. N.H.; brother Christopher Brown of Rochester, N.H.and his son Andrew. She leaves four grandchildren, Joshua Heil, Ryan Heil, Alex Dunton and Giana Carrozza. Sheila also leaves behind her very best friend Bart Griffiths also of Georgetown, Ma.
