Annie (Calo) Dappolonio, 93, of West Newbury and formerly of West Peabody, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the Country Center in Newburyport. Annie was born on February 13, 1929 to the late Antonio and Maria (D’Iorio) Calo. Annie worked for many years at the Danvers State Hospital Laundry Department until her retirement in 1991. She was a member of the Merrimac Senior Center and the West Newbury Senior Center and volunteered driving for N.E.E.T. as well as for Meals on Wheels. During her spare time, Annie loved Arts and Crafts, especially, quilting, sewing, knitting and crocheting. She loved all animals, but enjoyed interacting with the family horses and walking her dogs.
Annie was the beloved wife of the late, Frank Dappolonio and is survived by their daughter, Diane M. Farnell and her husband Raymond, Jr. of West Newbury, her grandsons, Christopher, Gregory and Jonathan Farnell, her 8 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Annie was predeceased by her siblings, Virginia Cheslawski, Anthony Calo and Joseph Calo.
Family and friends are invited to Annie’s visitation on Saturday, June 4th from 10 to noon at Conte – Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown. Her Funeral Service will follow at noon in the funeral home. Interment will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, West Peabody.
