Barbara Marie Pearson

Barbara Marie Pearson, 80 of Byfield, passed away on Thursday, October 17th, 2024 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, surrounded by her family.

Barbara grew up in Lawrence, the daughter of Lawrence and Marie Belanger. She attended Saint Anne's Catholic High School in Lawrence where she graduated class of 1961. She worked as a deli clerk for Shaw's Market in Newburyport and Seabrook for over twenty years until she retired upon the store closing. She spent many days at the beach, and was an avid football, baseball and basketball fan, but especially loved the Boston Celtics. She was a proud member of the Elks Club and Moose Lodge, and enjoyed competing in 45's tournaments hosted by the Elks and playing at home with friends. 

She is survived by her son Sean Pearson of Byfield, her daughter Shannon Pearson of Byfield, and her son Chad Coffman of Byfield, as well as her grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her longtime partner, Joseph Sweeney.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 24th, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00PM at the Conte-Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown, MA 01833. Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral home at 12:00 noon on Friday, October 25th, to process to a 1:00pm graveside service at South Byfield Cemetery in Georgetown. 

The Conte-Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown has been entrusted with Barbara's care.
