Bernard “Bernie” Field, 77, of Byfield, MA passed away on Tuesday September 26, 2023, with his loving family by his side. He was born on December 10, 1945, in Haverhill, MA to Robert H. and Helen H. Field.
Bernie retired from Local 4 IUOE in 2007 and enjoyed travelling with his wife, Sheila and the MVPA. He spent countless hours with the people he loved. His passion was making maple syrup in the Field Family Sugar House that he built. He loved to share it. People from all parts of the globe enjoyed it. He was a devoted family man, a loyal friend and never met a stranger. He loved his community and his country.
Bernie is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Sheila Field, His daughter Kellie Baker and her husband Scott Baker of Livermore Falls, Maine, his daughter Judy Field and her husband Brian Lombara of Ipswich, MA and his son Bernard and his wife Susan Field of Byfield, MA, four siblings, Robert, Nancy, Priscilla and Ken, six grandchildren and one great grandchild, lifelong friends Andy Harwood and John Elwell.
