Beverly Zoglio Obituary

Beverly Ann Bloecker Zoglio (84) joined her eternal companion, Harry John Zoglio, Jr. on the other side of the veil on July 16, 2024. Her quick passing, less than five months after her beloved husband, leaves us feeling the continuation of their love story simply could not wait.

Born May 3, 1940, Jacksonville, Florida, to Walter Robert Bloecker and Martha Elizabeth Jones, she was an only child and a great joy to her parents. Known to us as Mom and Mimi, she is survived by 4 children, Mark Zoglio, Joseph Morgan (Karolyn), Kim Wierman Reid (the late Don Wierman, James Reid) and Eric Zoglio (Lori) and 7 grandchildren, Kyleigh Delos Reyes (Dariel), Joshua Wierman, Lucas Wierman, Samantha Silva (Otavio), Casey Wierman, Erika Zoglio, and Nicholas Zoglio, and great-granddaughter, Avril Delos Reyes.

As part of an Airforce family, Beverly developed a strong sense of patriotism. Her father, a B-17 Flying Fortress pilot named his airplane “The Beverly Ann.” While based in Wiesbaden, Germany, she attended Spartan American High School. It was there that she joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and met and quickly fell in love with her husband of 65 years. Together they served in the Boston Temple for 24 years.

In the early years of their life together, Beverly used her talents to help support the family. She worked as a secretary at the local parks and recreation office and used her sewing skills to make costumes sold to a local business. However, her passion was in helping others and she began working nights as a nurse’s aide while attending nursing school at Northern Essex Community College. She had a love of cats, especially Domino, reading, the beach, entertaining friends and family, and gardening, with her favorite plants being Shasta daisies and English ivy.

Beverly became a Registered Nurse in 1974, and continued nursing until two weeks before her passing. During her 50 years as a nurse, she never thought of it as a job, but as a calling to nurture and minister to all who were in her care. Her patients were family to her, especially as she visited their homes and came to love them and their families.

Everything Beverly touched was made better and more special. Her desire to let us know we were truly cherished manifested itself in every detail - from the way she showed up, found and lovingly wrapped the perfect gifts, to how she set a table, showing every guest she cared enough to give the very best she could offer. The real knowledge of her love for us was most profoundly seen as she would quietly listen and gently guide us with wise and encouraging words.

Beverly was truly on the errand of angels her entire life and leaves a legacy of love and service in the truest, Christ-like manner.
