Carol Jean Maguire

Carol Jean “Walsh” Maguire, 75, of Byfield died September 7, 2020 at Mass General Hospital in Boston after her battle with Cancer. Carol was born on December 31, 1945 to the late Hilda (Mooney) Walsh and Milton Blaisdell. Carol was raised by her mother and adoptive father Tom Walsh. Carol grew up in Mission Hill in Roxbury and resided In Plum Island, Mass for most of her life. Carol was a stay at home mom and loved to garden and knit in her earlier years. She also loved the beach. She frequented the Plum Island reservation with all her kids over the years.
Carol leaves behind her four children, Mary Jean Moore and her husband Brian Moore, Heather Davis, Dennis Maguire and Nellie Maguire. Carol is survived by her four brothers, Tom Walsh, John Walsh and his wife Celia Walsh, Joe Walsh and his wife Patty Walsh, Billy Walsh and her Sister, Mary Coughlin and her husband Kevin Coughlin. She has four Grandchildren that she loved very much that she is also leaving behind, Christina Shields, William Miller, Jessie Davis and Adian Morris. Carol has two Great Grandchildren that she was lucky enough to get to meet as well, Christopher and Madison Shields.  She has a large loving close family with several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews that while growing up would spend the summers at her home on Plum Island.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend her Graveside Service on Friday September 11 th at 12 Noon in The South Byfield Cemetery, Georgetown. There will be a gathering of friends and family at her sister’s home in Georgetown following the service at 65 Lake Shore Drive in Georgetown Mass.
