Caryl Erna (Reiher) Face

On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, Caryl E. Face, loving wife of Herbert S. Face Jr., who predeceased her, passed away in Georgetown MA at the age of 86. Caryl was born November 15, 1937, in Boston, MA to the late John and Hazel Reiher. She grew up in Malden MA where she graduated from Malden High School in 1955. Caryl was a Sunday school teacher at the First United Methodist Church in Melrose, MA. Post graduation, she worked in the Insurance industry, underwriting. She married Herbert in 1965. She left the Insurance industry and began raising the family in Peabody, MA before moving to Georgetown, MA in 1968. She returned to the workplace in 1979 as a home health aide until she retired. She enjoyed helping people. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bird watching, ice skating, the family dogs, camping and the outdoors. She loved the mountains and took many family vacations to them.

She is survived by her daughter Heather Webb and her husband James Webb of Somerset MA, son Herbert John Face of Georgetown MA and son Norman Kyle Face of Rockland MA. She was also a loving grandmother of 2 granddaughters Alyssa Webb of Boston MA and Kelley Reilly-Face of Rockland MA.
