Charles E. Locke of Georgetown, Ma passed away peacefully, August 11,2023. Charles, fondly known as Chuck or Charlie was born August 20, 1935, in Georgetown, Ma to Bertha (Nelson) and Charles Locke.
Charles was a very talented lead guitarist, playing country music since he picked up his first guitar at about 14 years old until a few minutes before a stroke took away that ability in 2013. He was a talented painter who created beautiful nature scenes.
Charlie was a shoe cobbler moving to owner of his own shoe store for many years. Charlie was also an auxiliary police officer in Georgetown in the 1960’s.
Charlie loved baseball, he played in school and even coached his son's team for a while. He could not wait for baseball season each year. He loved to laugh with such a great sense of humor and playing a prank from time-to-time. Charlie loved nature, fishing and just watching nature shows. You would always be up to date on the weather as he was watchful of impending weather.
Charlie is predeceased by his parents, Bertha and Charles Locke, his wife, Joyce and his second wife, Alene as well as his siblings Ruth, Raymond, Margrate and Evelyn.
Charles is survived by his children, Charles of Hampton, NH, William and his wife Louise of West Roxbury, Ma and Shirley and her husband Mike of Georgetown, Ma. Grandchildren, Eric of Palm Springs Ca Sean and his wife Laura of Georgetown, Ma, Chase and his wife Lisa of San Diego, Ca, Alana and her husband Rob of Smithtown, NY and one great granddaughter, Vegas Shea of San Diego, Ca
There will be a graveside service on Friday morning, August 25th at 11o'clock at Harmony Cemetery, Central Street, Georgetown.
The Conte - Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown has been entrusted with Charlie's care.
