Charles A. Shields, Jr.

Charles A. “Chuck” “Charlie” Shields, Jr. 67, of Georgetown, MA. Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Sunday, March 1st at the Lahey Medical Center in Burlington. Chuck was born in Beverly, MA. on February 1, 1953 to the late Charles A. Shields, Sr. and Evelyn (Burke) Shields. Chuck attended Patten Trade School then went on to drive trucks for Waste Management for over 40 years until his retirement. During his spare time, Charles enjoyed spending time with his closest friends at the American Legion and Franco American Clubs in Beverly, the VFW, Post 7608 of Georgetown and the Haverhill Yacht Club. He also dedicated his time at the Georgetown Transfer Station with Greg and Jason Mello and Anthony Clark. In 1979, Charles married the love of his life, Jan Clark in Beverly, MA. and together they raised their children.
Charles is survived by his wife, Jan (Clark) Shields of Georgetown and their children, Veronica Joyce Klinglesmith and her husband Master Sergeant Earl of Kentucky, Danielle Wilson and her husband Mark of Indiana, his grandchildren, Nickatasha, Derrick, Alexandria, Olivia, Chandler, Dannickya and Mark, Jr., his sister, Charlene Wirling of Peabody and his Goddaughters, Wendy and Chrissy as well as many In Laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. Chuck was predeceased by his son, C.A. Shields, III.
