Christopher Meader Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Christopher L. Meader — a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Chris was born on June 13, 1970, and passed away unexpectedly on April 11, 2025, while in Grand Cayman, a place he once lived, worked, and loved to visit. He died due to heart failure at the age of 54.

Chris was a devoted and hardworking father who cherished his family above all else. He found immense joy in spending time with his four children — Nicholas, Ben, Kathleen, and Stephen — creating lasting memories through outdoor adventures, vacations, and quiet moments at home.

An avid outdoorsman, Chris had a passion for skiing and embraced the thrill of the slopes whenever he could. He also loved working outdoors, whether tending to his yard or tackling larger projects. His strong work ethic, adventurous spirit, and unwavering dedication were evident in every part of his life.

Chris is survived by his loving wife, Nicola Meader (Nikki), his steadfast partner and the center of his world. He will be deeply missed by his children, Nicholas, Ben, Kathleen, and Stephen, who were his greatest pride and joy. He is also survived by his brothers, Bill Meader of Pittsfield, New Hampshire, and Scott Meader of San Diego, California; his in-laws, Stuart and Hilary Parley; his sister-in-law, Samantha Brown; his nieces, Kimberly Gilbert, Evie Brown, Aime Crawford, and Michelle Elaine; and his nephews, Arthur Brown and Jason Meader, along with numerous cousins.

Chris was predeceased by his father, Frank Meader; his mother, Martha Gately; and his stepfather, George Gately.

Toby, Chris’s loyal dog, and Ashes the cat will also miss him dearly.

A service to celebrate Chris’s life will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Conte-Giamberardino Funeral Home, located at 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown, Massachusetts.
