David Arnold Bennett, 67 of Georgetown MA passed away October 4, 2025, at home surrounded by his loved ones after a long battle with cancer, Dave was born in Lynn, MA on July 18, 1958, to the (late) Harry Bennett Sr and Sylvia Reynolds
Dave is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susan (Russell) Bennett, son Joshua, his wife Nicole (Morrison), and son Jeremy, his wife Kristine (Drew), and beloved grandson Jaxon. His mother Sylvia Reynolds and brother Daniel, his wife Dorothy, brother Harry Jr, sister Dayle Grassia, her husband Anthony, brother Scott, his wife Maureen, step siblings Debbie Bean, her husband Douglas, and Donald Reynolds Jr, his wife Donna, and Karen Smith. Along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins
He joins his father Harry Bennett Sr, stepdad Donald Reynolds Sr, sister Melanie and husband Carl Hutchinson, and many family dogs.
He graduated from Lynn Vocational Technical Institute in 1977 and went on to work at Neptune Demolition for many years until in 2001 when he went out on his own and started Bennett Contracting which became his pride and joy.
Throughout Dave’s life he was known for always working hard and giving a helping hand for anyone in need. His shop was the center of his universe and meeting place for all who knew and loved him. You could find him there most days with a cigar in hand ready for a chat and to tell you, “It is what it is”.
His biggest joy was his grandson Jaxon, who brought out a softer side to him. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
Relatives and Friends are kindly invited to attend his visitation on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at Conte-Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown MA. His funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 11:00 am, followed by a burial at Harmony Cemetery, 99 Central Street, Georgetown, MA The Family asks in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The American Cancer Society, P.O.
