Donald L. Boyer Sr. of Georgetown, MA passed away peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2026, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Born on July 2, 1931, in Pawtucket, RI, Don grew up in Pawtucket. After graduating from high school, Don served in the US Air Force for four years, serving two of those years in Okinawa. Upon his completion in the Air Force, Don attended the University of Rhode Island where he earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, upon graduation, Don went to work for Raytheon as an engineer where he worked until his retirement.
Donald was known for his personality, kindness, work ethic, and his ability to share his knowledge and experiences with others. He also had a passion for his family and friends and all Boston sports teams.
Donald is survived by his wife of almost 70 years, Marilyn, as well as his five children and their spouses Roy and Lisa Boyer, Kim Clark and Brian Saunders, Jill and Chuck Vorderis, Donald Jr. and Donna Boyer, and Kenny and Denise Boyer. He was also survived by 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Don will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all those lives he truly touched.
A wake will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 4-6 pm at the Conte- Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown, MA. A funeral service will be held at the Conte-Giamberardino Funeral Home on Friday, April 3, at 11 am. Interment will follow at Harmony Cemetery, Georgetown.
