Donald Cercone Obituary

Donald Robert Cercone, age 91, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 7, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Beth (Supronovich) Cercone, with whom he shared 67 wonderful years of marriage.

Born in Salem, Massachusetts, on July 21, 1934, he was the son of the late George Cercone and Thelma (Bouchard) Cercone. Don was raised and educated in Salem and graduated from Salem High School, Class of 1952. After proudly serving four years in the United States Air Force, he attended Burdett College, where he earned a degree in accounting. Don began his career with Advance Brokers in Boston, where he became a Custom House Broker and later Vice President. He retired after 40 years of dedicated service.

Throughout his life, Don cherished time spent with family and friends and enjoyed many travel opportunities with his beloved wife, Beth, creating lasting memories together. He enjoyed skiing, boating, water skiing, playing golf, playing endless hours of Rummikub and cribbage, and attending family gatherings. Later in life, after his daughters were grown, he purchased a summer camp on Suncook Lake in Barnstead, New Hampshire, where countless memories were made during weekends spent with loved ones. Often, he could be heard saying, “This is a nice place,” a phrase that became a treasured family memory.

In addition to his loving wife Beth, Don (“Papa”) is survived by his three daughters: Donna Glynn (and her husband Ernest), Doreen Bent (and her husband Jesse), and Diane Faustino (and her husband David); his grandchildren, Michael Murphy (and his wife Natalie), Megan Connor (and her husband Joseph), Jaime Bent, and Crystal Berube; and his two great-grandsons, Noah and Wyatt Connor. He is also survived by many brothers- and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, and nephews, and his two loving caregivers. He was predeceased by his brother, George Cercone.
