Donna Gilmore Obituary

Donna Lee (Wyman) Gilmore, age 77, of Salem, formerly of Lynn, passed peacefully Saturday morning January 28, 2023, surrounded by family. Born in Lynn, May 14, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Ruth A. Wyman and wife of the late Roland S. Gilmore.
Donna was a graduate of Lynn English High School. She was a long-time office manager at Mancinelli Chiropractic in Lynn and later Comeau Chiropractic in Danvers. The clients and patients were always greeted with kindness and compassion and many of them became friends. Donna enjoyed traveling. One of her fondest memories was traveling to Germany with her brother Arthur (Art). Some of her favorite more frequent trips were to Aruba with Cousin Gretchen and New Hampshire with Sister Jean. Despite her love for traveling, she always returned home to spend countless hours making treasured memories with her children, grandchildren and friends. Donna was an avid and talented gardener she could turn any flower bed into an unforgettable sight in just one season. She was also a skilled seamstress; she could fix a dress, create a quilt or make an unforgettable Halloween costume for all the grandchildren. She also loved her cats and provided homes to many senior cats in need. Donna adored her childhood friends and neighbors, many whom have passed away now but she continuously reflected on special times with all of them.

Her warm spirit and kindness left a mark on many especially her family and her legacy will live on. Donna had 3 sons, the late Brian Gilmore of Miami Fl, Wayne (Maria) Gilmore of Salem, Jeffrey (Erinn) Gilmore of Newburyport and daughter, Denise Gilmore of Salem. She also was the adored and cherished grandmother (Beanie) to Lauren and Michael Gilmore of Salem and Jack, Riley and Kate Gilmore of Newburyport. Donna is predeceased by her brothers, Arthur Wyman of Georgetown and Roger Wyman of North Andover. She also leaves a loving sister, Jean Hyde of Georgetown and many nieces, nephews and cousins that she enjoyed precious times with.
