Dorothy D. (Dori) Farnsworth

Dorothy "Dori" Darlene Farnsworth (Kempton), 69, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Born on January 23, 1957, in Lynn, Massachusetts, she was the beloved daughter of the late Dorothy Chafe Kempton and Rollins Aaron Kempton.

Dori was a woman of remarkable intelligence, wit, and warmth. Her life was filled with hard work and dedication across various roles. She began her career at Bob's Fried Clams in Salem, MA. and later worked as a dispatcher for the Saugus Dog Pound. However, it was her time at Delta Letter Drop in Boston that brought her the greatest professional joy. There, she worked alongside her best friend and confidant, Anthony Tsoukalas, forming a bond that enriched her life.

Dori shared nearly five decades of love and companionship with her devoted husband of 49 years, George B. Farnsworth. Their enduring partnership was a testament to their deep connection and mutual respect. She is also survived by her sister, Donna Dempsey and her partner John, two brothers, Rollins Kempton and his wife Margie and Allen Kempton and his wife Catherine, several cousins, who were very close to her, numerous nieces and nephews, and her two cherished "favorite girls," Giselle and Lilly. Dori held a special place in her heart for her niece Shelly, whom she adored deeply. Dori was predeceased by her siblings, Diane, Donald, Richard, Robert and David.

A woman of many passions, Dori found joy in traveling, cooking, and collecting Composition dolls and jewelry. Her love for animals was unparalleled—she cared for them as if they were her own children. Above all else, Dori had an extraordinary ability to connect with people. Her kindness and thoughtfulness left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Dori's memory will be forever treasured by those who loved her. May the legacy of her wisdom, humor, and generosity bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.

Her Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Conte - Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown. All other services are private.
