Elaine Majeskey Obituary

Elaine Majeskey passed away on June 24, 2025, at Ledgewood Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Beverly, Ma.  with the help of Care Dimensions. She was born in Northampton, Ma. on November 5, 1933. She graduated from Easthampton High School in 1951 and Northern Essex community college in 1986 for Word processing. Elaine worked for Kelly services and multiple companies for data entry as a typist,  secretary, receptionist , payroll and bookkeeping from 1986 to 1988. Elaine and Carl enjoyed traveling. They had their honeymoon in Quebec, Canada and returned several times for Winter Fest .

They went on a Panama cruise to the Amazon jungle , Costa Rica,  San Juan, Colombia, Cozumel, Jamaica, and Germany. She was predeceased by her husband Carl Majeskey. Mom enjoyed bringing her grandchildren and especially Peter and Billy to visit museums,  submarines, airports , go to sports celebrity autograph signings, and playing video games. Yes….Zelda was her favorite. She went to aerobics at the Y 3 times a week. She loved cross country skiing and fly fishing . She was an avid reader,  liked watching movies,  like Charlie Chan and old classics. She also volunteered teaching adults to read and write English . Mom did outstanding work putting together a family tree with many pictures and information. The family looked forward to looking at the albums at family reunions. Mom took pride in her drawings and paintings. She won several prizes at the Haverhill Art Association. She also enjoyed collecting antiques, beanie babies, and restoring furniture. Attended weekly flea markets to buy and sell. Her favorite was to haggle to get the best deal. 

 Elaine is survived by her children, Deborah Cagney, Daniel Majeskey and his wife, Lindsey, Erik Majeskey and his wife, Christine and Heidi Majeskey and her domestic partner Angel Sanchez. As well as multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held in Easthampton Ma. at 12 noon on Wednesday, July 2nd at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery. The family would like to thank people for their kind words and condolences. In lieu of flowers, Mom would like people to make donations to the Beverly School for the Deaf.
