Everett Davis, Jr. Obituary

Everett Maynard Davis Jr., 60, of Byfield Massachusetts, died after a brief illness at Beverly Hospital on February 28, 2022 surrounded by his family. Everett was born in Newburyport on November 9, 1961, the son of the late Everett Davis Sr and Judith (Coffey) Norton. He graduated from Whittier Regional Technical High School class of 1980 where he studied graphic communications. He was a member of the Star of Bethlehem Lodge AF & AM Wakefield MA.

Everett was the proud owner of Captain Hutches Seafood in Byfield where his passion was digging clams and growing his seafood business with his dear friends Peter Morin and Shawn Hunt. There was never a party he attended that didn’t involve him bringing more lobsters than we all could eat. He loved to travel as long as he could go by car. He loved to drive even if a plane could get him there quicker. While his daughters were growing up you could always count on a car ride to Virginia, Tennessee, Florida, Maine, and everywhere in between. He loved to find the next big roller coaster. Some of his favorite amusement parks were Old Dominian in Virgina and Disney World in Florida as his girls would go on every roller coaster with him.  When he was not working, some of his favorite times were watching his daughters play sports and he enjoyed watching the patriots and going to Red Sox games. He loved rooting for the Red Sox at Fenway and on the road especially when they beat the Yankees.

Everett leaves behind his three daughters Karri Davis of Billerica Massachusetts, Allyson Mearls, her husband Stephen, and Grandson Cameron, of Newton Massachusetts, and Kristi Davis and her husband Robert of Londonderry, New Hampshire. He was predeceased by his brothers William Janvrin and Scott Davis, as well as his sister Ann Davis. He leaves behind his brothers Jeffery Janvrin of Byfield, MA, Mark Davis and his Wife Amy of Seabrook, NH, and his sisters Jill Norton of Ipswich, MA, and Gladys (Beth) Johnson of Ellabell, GA. He also leaves behind his loving companion of 4 years Sy Chhin of Byfield Massachusetts and his stepmom Barbara (Janvrin) Davis also of Byfield Massachusetts.
He leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. On behalf of his girls, we always knew our dad knew everybody.

The family wishes to thank the CCU team at Beverly Hospital and Boston Med Flight for the great care he received.
