GEORGETOWN: Forrest (Teddy) E. Hicks, IV, age 60, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at the High Pointe Hospice House on Thursday, June 18, 2026. Forrest was born in
Haverhill, Massachusetts, on September 25, 1965. He was the beloved son of Forrest E. Hicks III of Georgetown and was predeceased by his mother, Joanne (Parent) Hicks. He was a proud graduate of the Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School class of 1983 and went on to graduate from Essex Agricultural Technical College with the class of 1986.
Forrest shared his talents as a baker for many years, bringing joy to those around him by creating fun, beautiful, and delicious desserts for his family and friends. Later in life, he transitioned careers and spent many rewarding years working alongside his father in the family cleaning business. Beyond his work, Forrest had a deep appreciation for the beauty of New England, frequently taking weekend getaways and long drives to explore the region. He had a passion for photography, beautifully capturing the timeless charm of covered bridges, historic lighthouses, and the vast wonder of the Milky Way. An avid gamer, Forrest was an active member of multiple online communities, building meaningful connections and gaining close, lasting friendships with people across the world.
In addition to his father, Forrest is survived by his brother, Charles Hicks and his wife Janice of Dexter, Maine; his sister, Amy Vance and her husband Mark of Georgetown; his niece, Paige Gately of Georgetown; and his nephew, Charles Hicks of Dexter, Maine. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and dedication to his family.
