Frances Leah (Sherriff) Reily

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Frances, Fran, Mom, Nana, who died peacefully on January 12th, 2025, in Danvers, Massachusetts, at the age of 83. Fran was a long-time resident of Revere, MA and later of Georgetown, MA where she retired with her husband Tom to live close to her cherished sons and grandchildren. Fran was born in Malden, MA and raised in Revere, MA, a graduate of Revere H.S. and Fisher College in Boston. She devoted her professional career to supporting the family care medical field as a talented and dedicated medical secretary at numerous practices on the Northshore of Massachusetts. It was no mistake that she felt right at home in the patient care industry, as her devotion for concern and love for others was her true mission in life.

She was predeceased by her parents Dora and Irving Sherriff of Revere, MA. She was married to her husband Tom for 57 years and survived by him, her son, Christopher and wife Larissa of Ipswich, MA, her son, Brett and wife Kristen of Newbury, MA, and her treasured grandchildren Jake, Piper, Benjamin and Nathan. She is also survived by her incredibly devoted siblings, Stephen Sherriff and wife Elaine of Peabody, MA and Judith DiGregorio and husband Anthony of Winthrop, MA. Fran has left behind numerous loving nieces and nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, friends and extended family.

Fran is remembered mostly and fondly for her deep concern and care for her family. She devoted her life to ensuring that her children and grandchildren had the best lives possible and was forever giving of herself to them – day in and day out. She loved and cared deeply for her partner of over half a century, Tom, in sickness and in health. And she was born to be a ‘Nana’ proving to be an expert at the role for over 20 years.

Our beautiful Frances has been missed for quite some time during the years of her illness, but her memories live within those that knew her and loved her, those that had long-time friendships and relationships with her, and those that only met her briefly. To know Fran was to love Fran.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 11am – 1pm in the Conte - Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown, MA. A memorial service will be held just following the visiting hours at approximately 1pm in the same location.
