Francis G. Joyal, 93, of Groveland, went to be with the Lord on April 16, 2026. Frank was born in Pawtucket, R.I. on December 12, 1932 to the late Frank E. and Lena (Forsher) Joyal. Frank was the beloved husband of the late, Joan F. (Godfrey) Joyal. Frank served his country during the Korean Conflict with the U.S. Air Force, after his service, he and Joan moved to Groveland, MA to begin his career at Bell Laboratories in North Andover, retiring in 1988.
After his retirement, Frank and Joan traveled extensively throughout Europe and named their trip to the Holy Land as their most cherished. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church in Groveland where he was very active. Frank was an active 4th Degree Knight and loved finding time to be a Little League Coach. He spent the last 3 years of his life at Haverhill Crossing.
Francis is survived by his sons, Thomas J. Joyal and his wife Lowee of Hendersonville, NC, John F. Joyal and his wife Joanjareon of Nashua, NH and Paul G. Joyal of Youngsville, NC. His former Daughter in laws, Susan Hunter of South Portland, ME and Masoumeh Bagheri of Shiraz, Iran, his brother, Raymond Joyal of North Providence, RI. Frank was predeceased by his siblings, Elaine Joyal and Donald Joyal.
The Joyal Family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff at Haverhill Crossings for all their care during Frank’s stay.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Frank’s Funeral Mass on Saturday, April 25th at 11 o’clock at St. Patrick’s Church, Groveland. His visitation will be held in the church prior to his Mass from 10 to 11am. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Groveland.
