George Henry Ward, III, 43 year resident of Georgetown, died Monday, June 14 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. George was predeceased by his wife of 33 years, Susan. He was raised in Charlestown and moved to Georgetown after their wedding. George spent 33 years working at Mass Highway & Mass Turnpike Authority before retiring in 2006. George was predeceased by his wife, Susan, and is survived by his three children, sons, George IV & his husband Edmund Hurley of Marlborough, Timothy & his wife Lacey and daughter Tiffany and her life companion, Christian Maclauchlan, all of Georgetown. He was the grandfather to Aidan Baker and step-grandfather to Violet, Jasmine & Evan Johnson. He is also survived by his sisters, Rosemarie Sorota of Wakefield and Deborah Fox also of Wakefield, as well as his brother, James Ward of Wakefield. He is also survived by his mother, Rosemarie (Grace) Ward of Wakefield and predeceased by his father George Ward Jr. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours will be held on Monday, June 21 from 4 to 8 pm in the Conte - Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown, MA 01833. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend his funeral service on Tuesday, June 22 at 11am at the Conte -Giamberardino Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery, Georgetown.
