Gordon Lee Blaquiere

Groveland resident Gordon Lee Blaquiere, 77 passed away on Friday, November 5,2021 after a lengthy illness.
He was born on May 9, 1944 to the late Maurice Romeo Blaquiere and Margaret Allard Blaquiere in Ipswich where he remained throughout his childhood.
Following service in the United States Navy, Gordon worked for many years as a lineman in Ipswich, before finding his true calling working for a labor union. For the next thirty plus years he worked in a number of capacities for AFSCME, a union that represents state, county and municipal employees.
Gordon loved spending time with his family and especially cherished the times the family spent together in Onset. He had a passion for sports and followed his favorite teams, the Red Sox and Patriots up until the very end. Due to his love for both his children and sports he was often found coaching sports teams or running the town’s little league. Gordon was always one to step up and be involved for his children. 

In addition to his wife Pamela, he is survived by three children: Amanda, David and Sabrina: six grandchildren: Alexandria, Tristen, Ethan, Isabelle, Ava, and Ryan. He is survived by one sister, Linda Blaquiere. Gordon was predeceased by his siblings Margaret Katherine Burns, Edith Pearl Clock, Romeo Francis Blaquiere and Melvin Blaquiere.
Out of caution related to the ongoing pandemic and at the family’s request there will be no public services.
