Howard V. ("Howie") Dow

Howard Vincent Dow 77, of Amesbury, MA, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness surrounded by his beloved family on Monday, December 23rd, 2024. Howard was born June 5th, 1947, in Chelsea, MA to Albert and Sylvia (Weiner) Dow. Predeceased by his sister Carolyn Pasquale and his brother Albert F Dow. Howard graduated from Saugus High school in 1967 and worked at General Electric for 39 years as well as serving in the Army.

He is survived by daughters, Melissa Dow of Amesbury MA, Magen Dow- Sheehan and her husband Daniel Sheehan (His Man Friday) of Rochester, NH, Patricia Dow, cousins Paul and Irene Kimbrell of Merrimac MA, Ethel, Francine of New York, Sandra Cerbone of Revere, Best friend and brother-in-law Donald Costantino, John Chadwick, Billy Cote, Raymond Kohut, and niece Tammy -Lynn Perry, Sister-in-law Diane

Dow, and many sister in-laws and brother in-laws, nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his 5 grand cats and 2 grand dogs.

Howie loved watching sports especially football with his cousins Paul and Irene. Catching up on every Netflix movie he could find. His beloved 1981 Red Corvette, going to Florida and Newfoundland with his best bud Don. Howard loved to laugh, give nicknames to friends and family members and never missed an episode of Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. His generosity, kindness and compassion for animals and others will never be forgotten.

Melissa, Magen, Patricia and Dan would like to thank everyone that played a huge part in Howie’s life.

Services will be private in the spring of 2025. A celebration of life will be set at a later date. The family wishes to express deep appreciation for the compassionate care of Beverly Hospital, Brigham and Womans and Anna Jaques Hospital.
