Iona G. (Parker) Nadeau, widow of the late Leo Nadeau of Georgetown' passed away February 27, 2020 at The Port Rehab and Nursing Facility in Newburyport. Iona was born November 8, 1930 in Boston MA to the late John Strictland and Sara (Simms) Strictland. She was raised in Massachusetts and Maine, eventually settling in Georgetown where she raised her children, Robert Parker and Jill Parker. Iona worked at the Georgetown High School cafeteria where she was affectionately known as "Ma Parker".
Later Iona ran her own daycare raising and loving numerous children who she continued to keep in contact with up until the end. Iona always had a smile and joke for everyone, loved her cowboy shows and going to Foxwoods. She is pre-deceased by husband Leo, son Robert Parker, and daughter Jill Parker.
We would like to thank The Port Rehab staff and Care Dimensions staff for the wonderful and thoughtful care given to Iona.
