James W. "Jim" Haynes

James W. “Jim” Haynes – Georgetown, MA

Jim Haynes age 70 and 30+ year resident of Georgetown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 6, 2022 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. He was born on November 17, 1951 in Lynn, MA the son of the late, Richard Haynes and Pearl O’Brien.  Jim was raised and educated in Lynn, MA.

He was employed by Logan Airport.  Jim retired in 2017 to spend more time with his family.

More than anything Jim enjoyed entertaining family and friends.  He loved telling jokes and his laughter was contagious.  Jim was an avid New England sports fan.  You could find him at home every Sunday watching the Patriots or any week night the Bruins played.  He also enjoyed watching Boston College and Notre Dame football games.  He took great pleasure beating his neighbor, Chris in Cribbage any chance that he could get.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Donna A. (Bochicchio) Haynes of Georgetown, MA, whom he married on October 28, 1985, his daughter, Leanne C. Haynes of Georgetown, MA, his sister, Donna Roy and her husband, Walter of Kingston, NH, his brother, Richard Haynes and his wife, Jane of Lynn, MA, his cousin, David Waldron and his wife, Susan of Salisbury, MAand his sister-in-law, Linda Bochicchio and her fiancé, Norman Hamel of Peabody, MA.  Jim is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved.

Jim will be remembered as a man who loved his family and friends and as a person who would do absolutely anything to make some else’s life easier.
