John T. ("Ted") Boulanger

John T. Boulanger, (Ted) 92, of Georgetown, MA, passed away peacefully at his home on November 3, 2022. Ted was the son of the late John R. Boulanger and Louise (Felteau) Boulanger.  Ted is survived by his wife of 72 years, Shirley (Thompson) Boulanger, his children, Audrey Boulanger of Danvers, MA, Mark Boulanger and his wife Diane of Georgetown, MA, Laurie Warner and Rich Provenchal of Amesbury, MA and Ken Boulanger and his wife Carol of Haverhill, MA. He also leaves behind eight Grandchildren and Seven great Grandchildren.

Ted was a self-taught automobile mechanic where he worked for several dealerships while he honed his skills. In 1963 he built his own auto repair shop in Georgetown called “Ted’s Garage.” He also ventured into the plastic molding business.  In 1978 Ted re-opened the garage which is still in operation today known as “B & B Auto Clinic, Inc. In his early years he donated his time and skills to help maintain some of the Georgetown fire department equipment. He was also a member of the Georgetown Kiwanis, where he continued to serve the community. In his free time, he loved to hunt and fish. He also loved his vegetable garden. With his wife Shirley, he divided his retirement years between Georgetown and Sebastian, FL, eventually returning to Georgetown. He was extremely active. If you happened to drive by his house, he would always be out maintaining his lawn or garden and repairing anything that didn’t work. If something was broken, Ted could fix it. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Calling hours will be from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Conte-Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown MA on Sunday, November 13, 2022. His funeral mass will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Parish, 94 Andover Street, Georgetown, MA.  There will be a private family graveside ceremony following Mass.
