Josephine (Prizio) Sforza

Josephine (Prizio) Sforza, 97, of West Newbury, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, January 30, 2019 at the Wingate at Andover. Her loving family was by her side. Josephine was born in Campagna, Italy on February 2, 1921 to the late Michelangelo and Concetta (Catino) Prizio.  Josephine came to America at age 9 and worked as a farmer most of her young life. She was proud that she became an American Citizen. She married Pasquale and moved to West Newbury and continued to work on the family farm. She had a love and an eye for flowers, she was recognized by the West Newbury Gardeners club for her award winning flowers. She was happiest when she was on the farm with her dogs by her side. She always had a kind word to say about everyone she encountered and always had a smile on her face.
 
Josephine was the beloved wife to the late Pasquale Sforza and is survived by her stepchildren, Pasquale Sforza of Revere, Marie Walsh of Beverly, Charles Sforza of Byfield, Frederick Sforza and their children, her nieces and nephews, Louis Coiro and his wife Patty of Revere, Michael Coiro of FL, Anthony Coiro and his wife Beverly of Lynn, Connie Ennamorati and her husband Stephen of Revere, Joseph Coiro and his husband Joseph of NC, Maria Messina and her husband Anthony of Boxford and Andrew Coiro of FL as well as many great nieces and nephews. Josephine is also survived by her Dog Skippy. She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Anthony Coiro,
 
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend her Funeral Service on Saturday, February 2nd at 12 Noon in the Conte - Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Visitation for Josephine will be held prior to her service on Saturday from 10 to Noon in the funeral home.
