Judith M. (Tidd) Lynch

Judith Marilyn Tidd Lynch, 89, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2022. She cared deeply for those she loved and always gave freely of herself. Judy was a devoted wife to Robert Charles Lynch for almost fifty years until his passing. She was the loving mother of Timothy and his wife Susan, Cynthia and her husband Joel Dolloff, Thomas, Stephen and his wife Marianne, and Mark and his wife Sheila. Judy was also the beloved grandmother of eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She treasured her sister Barbara who predeceased her, her brother Richard "Dick" Tidd and his wife Carol, and her youngest brother David. Later in life Judy met Ralph Pierce and the two enjoyed a brief but loving relationship until his passing. She happily added Ralph's 11 children to her family. Judy cherished her close bond with her many devoted friends, cousins, nieces and nephews. She always felt that her cousin Sandra Woodburn was like another sister as was her best friend, Eleanor Wood.

Judy was a resident of Georgetown for over 56 years. The daughter of the late William Allen “Tommy” and Alvena May Morse Tidd, Judy grew up in Georgetown and raised her five children there. She received her degree in Computer Science and was known to many in town while working at Georgetown Travel. Judy loved to entertain friends and family with stories about family history and what life in Georgetown was like when she was younger. She was fortunate to have spent her final years in the company of her loving family.
