It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda M. Bertone, who died peacefully on January 11th, 2025, in Hamilton, Massachusetts, surrounded by family, at the age of 84. Linda was born in Beverly, Massachusetts, and spent her life as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Linda was a self-employed businesswoman who enjoyed a fulfilling life centered around her passions. She loved skiing, golfing, boating, and horseback riding with her late husband. In recent years, she cherished spending time with her family at her son’s campground in New Hampshire and visiting her other son in California.
She was married for 45 years to the love of her life, the late Richard C. Bertone. Linda is survived by her son, Richard Bertone Jr. and his wife Tricia of Danvers, MA; her daughter, Theresa Guarino and her husband Salvatore of Hamilton, MA; and her son, Rodney Bertone and his husband David of Los Angeles, CA.
Linda was also deeply proud of her grandchildren: Stefanie Bertone of Danvers, MA; Mikayla Guarino of Hamilton, MA; Jennifer Bertone of Danvers, MA and Salvatore Guarino of Hamilton, MA. She will be lovingly remembered by her great-grandchildren: Michael Burke, Jason Burke, Kyngzly Alvarez, Azure Alvarez, and Penelope Valdez, all of Danvers, MA
She is survived by her beloved sister, Dale Dumphy and her husband Warren of Sandown, NH, and her brother Merritt Hopping and his wife Donna of Agawam, MA. She was predeceased by her brothers, the late Edward Hopping and Ronald Hopping.
Linda will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who were fortunate to have known her. Her warmth, kindness, and adventurous spirit will be missed by all.
Family and friends are kindly invited to Linda's visitation on Wednesday, January 15th from 5 to 8pm in the Conte - Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown and again on Thursday morning for her Funeral Service in the funeral home at 11 o'clock.
