Linda Clay

Linda Clay, 76 of Amesbury Ma and formerly of Georgetown passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 27, 2024, surrounded by her devoted caregivers. Linda was born in Lynn, Massachusetts, to Roy and Elizabeth Clay. Raised in Georgetown, she attended local schools and developed a lifelong love for oldies music, which she enjoyed listening to on Sirius Radio. Known for her incredible memory and warmth, Linda collected birthdates, always asking new acquaintances to share their birthdays, which she carefully recorded in her notebook and rarely forgot.

A creative soul, Linda enjoyed drawing mosaic pictures, gifting many as birthday presents to those she held dear. She was also an active member of several community groups throughout her life, including the Women’s Catholic group at St. Mary’s Church in Georgetown, the Horizon Club, TPI summer camp and women’s group and Opportunity Works, all in Newburyport Ma. Linda is predeceased by her father, Roy Clay, and her mother, Elizabeth (Beller) Clay of Georgetown, MA. She was cared for over the years by many devoted caregivers whom she came to love as family.

Among them are Elise Hall of Amesbury, MA; Barbara Colten of Newburyport, MA; Jodi (Mason) Pereira Da Silva of Haverhill, MA; Miscelaine Bushu of Haverhill, MA; and Rita Schultz of Salem, NH, as well as many others in leadership and Direct Support roles who enriched her life with love and compassion.

A celebration of life will be held at Conte -  Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant St Georgetown, MA, on Monday, November 4, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with burial following at the Harmony Cemetery, Georgetown. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda’s memory to Turning Point Inc., P.O. Box 548, 5 Perry Way, Newburyport, MA 01950.
