Lola Irene (Delp) McAdoo – Rowley, MA

Lola Irene (Delp) McAdoo of Rowley MA. Born August 25, 1936 in McPhees Corner in Nova Scotia, Canada to the late Dorothy and Joseph Delp. She was the eldest and last surviving sibling of Lloyd Delp, Marion Delp, Ronald Delp, Pauline LaChapelle, Beverly Tully, Cheryl Legault, Lynne Tassinari, David Delp and Wendy Stevens.

She is survived by her children, Kathy Mello, Blake Seale and Melissa Ward and her step children Karyn McAdoo, Richard McAdoo Jr, Kim Manning, Michelle Costanza, Kevin McAdoo and Barbara McAdoo. She was predeceased by her son Wayde Seale and step-son Brian McAdoo. 23 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren also survive her.

She was predeceased by her husband's, Charles Mcclure and Richard McAdoo.

Lola loved caring for others. That was her purpose on this earth. She looked after her siblings. She was a baby nurse at Salem Hospital until she started her own family. She drove a school bus for Georgetown and Masconomet so she could bring her youngest children with her to work. She kept a family of 11 children and also welcomed others into her home over the years. She worked in food service at St John's Prep with her sisters and other family, and provided childcare to her grandchildren through the years. She was a caregiver to her siblings and comforted them all as they passed into heaven.  

Calling hours are Friday, January 20, 2023 from 4 – 7 PM at the Conte-Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown, MA 01833.  A funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 10 AM at the funeral home.  Burial will follow the service in Harmony Grove Cemetery in Salem, MA.  Please visit www.cgfuneralhomegeorgetown.com for directions or to sign the online guest book.
