Margaret A. ("Peggy") Knowlton

Margaret A. “Peggy” (O’Grady) Knowlton, 89, of Byfield and formerly of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at her home in Byfield surrounded by the love of her family. Peggy was born in Fauquier, Virginia to the late William and Maude (Suddeth) O’Grady. Peggy was a faithful woman who took great pride in caring for her family. She enjoyed crafts and crocheting and loved to go up to her camp in Rumney, NH.

Peggy was the beloved wife of the late, Frank T. Knowlton, Sr. and is survived by their children, Joyce E. Knowlton of Byfield and Frank “Tom” Knowlton, Jr. and his wife Debbie of South Berwick, ME, her grandchildren, Sarah Knowlton and Frank Knowlton, III and his spouse Ryan Williams, her great-grandchildren, Brian Lemelin, Jr. and his wife Megan, Bradley Lemelin, Brady Lemelin, Aiden Williams and Ella Williams as well as her great-great grandson, Henry Turner. Peggy was the sister of Patrick O’Grady and his wife Sara of WA, Peggy is predeceased by her siblings, William O’Grady, Betty Sanders and Mary Ryder.

Family and friends are kindly invited to her Funeral Service on Wednesday morning, September 6th at 11 o’clock in the Conte – Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown. Interment will follow at South Byfield Cemetery, Georgetown. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 7pm in the funeral home.
