Marion Louise (Fleck) Harding

Marion Louise (Fleck) Harding, 94, of Georgetown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Anna Jaques Hospital, Newburyport. Marion was born and raised in Norwood, MA to the late Franklin W. and Gertrude (Bacon) Fleck. Marion graduated from Norwood High School, Class of 1944 and then went on to receive her B.S. in Education from Boston University, Class of 1959. Marion taught Kindergarten in Scituate for more than 10 years and also taught elementary school in Georgetown in the early 60's and later became a substitute teacher. Marion met her beloved husband, Richard while roller skating on her vacation in New Hampshire and upon their marriage, they lived in Lynnfield, MA  before buying their first house in Georgetown together in 1962. The couple joined The First Congregational Church in Georgetown soon after getting settled and Marion became very active with her new church. She taught Sunday School for many years, was the assistant director for the junior choir and a member of the senior choir and bell choir as well as a member of the diaconate and various other church committees. Marion was involved with the Annual Fall Church Fair, making pies and working at the cookie table. She was a longtime member of the Women's Guild and worked many mission projects with other members, many of whom have become very good friends.
 
Marion was the beloved wife of the late Richard H. Harding, and is survived by their daughters, Pamela L. Harding-Wojtas of Georgetown, Wendy Sposato and her husband Kenneth of Shrewsbury and Jennifer Lai and her husband Charles of CA, her grandchildren, Nicholas, Ally, Anna, Mia and Evan, her step-grandchildren, Stephen Wojtas and his family of MI and Greg Wojtas of NH, her sister, Nancy J.Curtis as well as many nieces and nephews. Marion was predeceased by her brothers, Raymond F. Fleck and Robert Fleck and her son - in- law, Al Wojtas.
 
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend her Funeral Service on Saturday afternoon, May 1st at 3 O'clock in the First Congregational Church, 7 Andover Street, Georgetown. Interment is private. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 pm in the Conte - Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown.
