Marion Christine (Grosse) Weltler

Marion Christine Weltler, 91, of Brooksby Village in Peabody, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 26, 2022. Marion (nee Grosse) was born on June 5,1931 in Oak Park, Illinois. She married the late Herbert G. Weltler in 1947 and had six children. They lived together in Maywood, Illinois until 1972 when they relocated to Boxford. In 2003 she moved to Whitestone Village in Groveland. In 2021 she moved to Brooksby Village in Peabody. Marion was preceded in death by her husband Herb in 1990.

Marion is survived by her six children and their spouses: Ron (Alvera), Karin (Henry Zimmerman) and Steve (Jeri) all of the Chicago Suburbs and Todd (Lynn), Dawn (Phil Watson) and Kurt (Mary Jane) all of the North Shore. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren plus one great granddaughter due in October.
Marion enjoyed gardening, watching old westerns and had a flair for interior design. Upon moving to Massachusetts, she became an avid fan of the Red Sox and the Patriots. She was an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Topsfield. Above all she was a proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother who relished in the lives and many accomplishments of her family.

Visitation will be held at the Conte - Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown on Friday, July 1 from 4 to 7 PM. Her life will be celebrated in a Funeral Service at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 478 Boston Street, Topsfield at 10 AM, Saturday, July 2.  Interment will follow at Harmony Cemetery, Georgetown. The family asks that in accordance with her wishes, donations be made in her name to Our Savior Lutheran Church, 478 Boston Street, Topsfield, MA 01983.
