Burr, Michael Philip; Surrounded by loving family, Michael Philip Burr, 68, peacefully passed away after battling a brief illness on March 01, 2022. Born in Windsor, Ontario to the late Theresa (Terry) Westfall-Burr and Ronald Burr, and growing up in Nova Scotia, Canada, Mike began his 48-year career at Scanada, Int. in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, later relocating to Bow, New Hampshire. Mike truly loved his work, traveling to job sites around the world making friends and bonding with his work family.
Mike was also a WWll buff, his favorite movie being Hacksaw Ridge. Much like the protagonist, Pfc. Desmond T. Doss, Mike was a gentle soul who did not believe in violence and was very much a patriot to both Canada and the United States. A few years prior to his passing, Mike checked off his biggest bucket list wish when he was able to visit the beaches of Normandy and Juno, France and WWll cemeteries with his wife Cheryl and her family. He went to honor fallen veterans of the war, including his then 18 year old Uncle Herbert J. Westfall.
In addition to travel, Mike was a huge Patriots and Tom Brady fan, often making wages on the game’s outcomes with friends and family. Many memories were made with a win or loss against his nephew and best man Yung Robinson and bets were honored (reverse Mohawks, snow angels, etc.).
Though Mike loved work, travel, sports, friends and Drambuie, there was nothing he cherished more than family. Those that were loved by Mike never went a day without knowing. There was nothing Mike would not do for those he loved. Everyone who knew him would remark on his dedication, humor, generosity and loyalty.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl McMahon, of Georgetown, Massachusetts, his daughter Christina Burr and husband Bobby Labreche with grandsons Ryan and Nathan of Verdun, Quebec, his brother Dennis Burr (late wife Edna and late daughter Ruth) of Williams Lake, British Columbia with sons and daughter in laws, Ron and wife Raven Burr and Emmerson and wife Becky Burr, sister and brother in laws Lauri and Thomas Moore, with nieces Evangeline, Genevieve and Annaliese Moore, brother and sister in laws Christian and Jerelyn Anderson with his niece Lily Anderson, all of Georgetown, MA, brother and sister in laws Thomas and Pam McMahon with nephews and nieces Thomas and wife Kimberly McMahon, Nicholas and wife Jenny McMahon, Rianne McMahon and Arielle McMahon, all of Colchester, Connecticut, nieces and nephews Terri-Lynn and Yung Robinson of Brockway, New Brunswick, Tammy and Lawrence Witten of Kitchener, Quebec, daughters and sons in law of his late and much loved sister Sandra Sullivan.
