Muriel A. (Chase) Jenne

Muriel A. Jenne, age 97 passed away on November 5, 2024, in Haverhill at Penacook Place. She was born July 28, 1927, to Alberta Chase Paul and Albert Chase in Georgetown MA.  She was a graduate of Perly High School, class of 1944. 

On February 22, 1945, she married the love of her life, Aldred A Jenne Jr. Together they raised 4 boys and lived in Georgetown, MA; Boca Raton, FL; Haverhill, MA; and Plaistow, N.H. Aldred predeceased her in 1996 of Alzheimer’s. For 8 long loving years she went to the nursing facility every night to feed him. 

 She was employed by the Frederick E Malcolm Insurance Agency in Haverhill, MA for over 20 years before her retirement in 1992. As a result of raising 4 boys, she was an avid sports fan and was a fixture at her sons’ baseball, basketball and football games during the 1960s and early 70s. In addition, she was an avid candlepin bowler until her 80s and was a major Boston sports fan, especially of the Boston Celtics. 

 Muriel is survived by her 4 sons: John F Jenne (Raelene) of Murell’s Inlet, S.C; Paul C Jenne (Penny Sommer) of Wolfeboro N.H.; Joel T Jenne (Nancy Michelson) of Berlin, MD; and Alan L. Jenne and partner Kenneth Ng of Haverhill MA.  She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren:  Robyn Jenne, Murrell’s Inlet, S.C.; Daniel Jenne, Murell’s Inlet S.C.; Jeremiah Jenne (Yajun Zhang), Geneva, Switzerland; Abby Jenne and Jason Batdorff of Berlin, VT, Christina Wells (Marcus), Haverhill, MA; Erik Gill (Kendra) of Roanoke Texas; and Heather Colon (Carl) of Berlin, MD. Muriel also has 12 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by grandson Jonathan R Jenne, sisters Juana Gehrman, Hallie Flanders, Nola Claridge, Kathleen Hamilton and brother Raymond (Bud) Chase. 

 Muriel was loved by many and was truly a kind and compassionate soul. She was always quick with a laugh or funny comeback. She had a wonderful sense of humor which helped her live for so long.  She was a resident of Bethany Communities (Phoenix and Merrivista) for 24 years where she made many wonderful friends and could always be found playing a card game.  

 The family would like to thank the staff on the 3rd floor Hillside, at Penacook Place for their exceptional care in making her late years comfortable.

 Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Friday, November 8th from 4 to 7pm at the Conte-Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown, MA. Her funeral service will be on Saturday morning at 11 o'clock in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Harmony Grove Cemetery, Central Street Georgetown.
