Pauline L. (Ladd) Reid

Pauline Reid, of Haverhill Mass (formerly from Byfield Ma), passed away on January 14, 2025. She is survived by her daughter Sherry Reid, son, Allen Reid, grandson, Jeremy Reid, and granddaughters, Carrie Reid and Tiffany Poplin. She was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Bertha Ladd, and sisters Sandra Ladd and Barbara Ames.

Pauline had a love of traveling. She enjoyed trips to the White Mountains and especially the beach. She loved amber skies and coffee rides. She loved shopping with her granddaughters and daughter while dragging her grandson along to his dismay. What she loved most of all was her family. She is the reason they know what love is, how to love and the definition of family. She was the matriarch of our family, and it was who she was through and through. The world would be a better place if we were all like her, and the world is a sadder place without her in it.

Pauline lived life on her own terms. She exhibited strength in everything that she did and then sprinkled in humor. She was a strong independent woman, even before it was fashionable. She was so fierce and powerful and would remove any obstacle that stood in her way, her strength is something to be admired and never forgotten. She was class and sass. For those of us that were raised by her, we were very aware that we were in the presence of an actual angel every day. We also know that even though she isn’t here physically anymore that she is still our angel watching over us.

Your fingerprints don’t fade from the lives you touch. We will miss you forever, little buddy.

Please join the family on Wednesday, January 22nd from 4 to 7pm at the Conte - Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown. Her graveside services will be held in the Spring at the South Byfield Cemetery, Georgetown.
