Pearl B. Norton (née Brust) passed away at Sea View Retreat on March 3, 2020 in Rowley, MA where she resided from October 2015 to her passing. She was 97. Mrs. Norton was born on September 16, 1922 in Bridgeport, CT to her parents, George and Eva (Holmes) Brust, the fourth of six children. She graduated from Bridgeport Central High School in 1941 with a leaning towards secretarial skills in typing and note taking. She married Charles Leo Norton on November 9, 1942. The Norton’s moved to Massachusetts in 1956, residing in Manchester, Beverly, then Ipswich in 1959. Charles L. Norton transferred from Lycoming Engine in Stratford, CT, to Avco in Wilmington, MA where he managed the industrial photographic department. Pearl was a housewife and mother until 1966 when her son, Charles F. Norton enlisted in the US Army in April 1966. She joined her husband when he left Avco in 1971 to start his own architectural photographic business, handling bookings and bills. They retired in 1985, sold their Ipswich, MA home and moved to Vero Beach, FL where they resided until late 2005. In December 2005 they returned to Massachusetts living in Little Brook Village in Topsfield, MA. Pearl’s husband pre-deceased her in March 2006. In April 2006 Pearl returned to her home in Vero Beach, FL. She returned to Topsfield in October 2011 and resided at Little Brook Village, until falling in September 2015. She had rehabilitation at Hathorne Rehabilitation in Danvers, before entering Sea View Retreat in October 2015 and resided there until her passing. Mrs. Norton is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles F. and Darcy R. Norton of Georgetown, MA. Mrs Norton’s service will be private.
