Robert R. (Rob) West

Robert R. West, 32, lifelong of Byfield, passed away at his home on Sunday, February 26, 2023. Rob was born in Newburyport on December 6, 1990, to Russell and Jill (Vieweg) West. Rob was a 2009 graduate of Triton High School where he excelled in wrestling and football. He was a union laborer, working for Hub Foundations and belonged to Local 88 Tunnel Workers. Rob loved fishing and all animals, however his greatest passion was being in the company of his family and friends, most especially his Beloved Mom.

Besides his parents, Rob is also survived by his siblings, Timothy A. West and Jessica L. West, both of Byfield, his maternal grandparents, William and Linda Vieweg of Bethel, ME as well as many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Rob was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Rita West.


Family and friends are kindly invited to Rob’s Funeral Service on Saturday morning, March 4th at 11 o’clock in the Conte – Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown. Interment will be private. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 to 8pm in the funeral home.
