Sheila M. Kelly – Georgetown, MA
Sheila M. Kelly, 98, a longtime resident of Georgetown passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on October 17, 2021 at the Port Health Care Center in Newburyport. Sheila was born on September 20, 1923 in Arbroath Scotland to William and Mary Marshall. Sheila loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and dear friends. She learned to ski when she was fifty and enjoyed skiing with her grandchildren. She also loved camping, touring the country in her RV with her late husband George and spending winters in Florida. She was the food service director for the Georgetown school system for many years.
Sheila was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed by her family. Sheila was the beloved wife of the late George L. Kelly and is survived by their sons and daughters; the late George W. Kelly of Bradford, MA and his wife Gay of Hampton, NH, Gary A. Kelly and his wife Janice of Salisbury, MA, Douglas S. Kelly and his wife Barbara of Bellingham, MA, Richard D. Kelly of Winthrop, MA, Susan M. McCarter and her husband Paul of Amesbury, MA and Sheila K. Bennion and her husband Bill of Lee, NH. Sheila has 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren who also survive her.
Calling hours will be from 10AM – 12:00 PM on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Conte-Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown, MA. There will be a service at the funeral home at 12 PM followed by burial in Harmony Cemetery in Georgetown. The use of face masks is recommended to those who plan to attend the services for Mrs. Kelly.
In-lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations be made to the First Congregational Church 7 Andover Street, Georgetown, MA 01833.
