Steven F. Ball

Steven F. Ball, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on December 20th, 2023, at the age of 69. Born on October 18, 1954, in Salem, MA, he was the eldest son of the late Frank Ball and Dorothy (Anketell) Ball.

Steve graduated from Salem High School in 1972 and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Salem State College. He dedicated over 40 years to a successful career as a software engineer at Raytheon. In his spare time, Steve found joy in gardening alongside his wife Maria and tending to their chickens at their home in Georgetown, MA. With his degree in biology, he had a profound appreciation for all living things, particularly birds and butterflies.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Maria S. Ball, his son, Michael Ball, his daughter, Michelle Schneider and her husband Matthew, his grandson, Lucas, his mother, Dorothy Ball, his sister, Susan Ball, and his brother, David Ball.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Friday, December 29th, at 11 am at St. Mary's Church, 94 Andover, Georgetown.
