Susan Olivia (Sforza) Nico

Susan Olivia Sforza Nico, 47, of Seabrook, NH and formerly of Byfield, MA, died suddenly and tragically on Saturday, May 21, 2022, while working at Byfield Greenhouses, the family farm in Byfield.  Eight months ago, Susan married the love of her life, Diego Nico, and became a mother to Juliana and Vincent, who she loved and adored as her own.
Susan was born on October 29, 1974, in Haverhill, MA to Charles and Joann Sforza of Byfield, MA and is the youngest of 7 children. She is a 1993 graduate of Triton Regional High School in Byfield and received her Associates degree in early childhood education from Lesley College.  Susan worked as a farm manager with her father, Charlie, at Byfield Greenhouses for over fifteen years.

Susan shared long, rich, and deep friendships with her high school “pack” of girls and was extremely close with her parents, four sisters, and two brothers. Yet, life had never been better for Susan when she met Diego and started a family with him, his two children, and their beloved dogs, Lucy and Argo. Her new family brought the greatest joy to her life.
Susan held a deep passion for the greenhouses and loved working side by side with her dad, Charlie, growing beautiful plants for people to enjoy. She was fun loving and big hearted and had a huge smile for everyone.

Susan had a soft spot for all animals, but especially dogs. She volunteered with multiple rescue organizations, often transporting dogs in long car relays from the southern U.S. to the northeast to find them loving homes. Indeed, her life focused on family, friends, animals, and plants and she surrounded herself and filled her life with these things.
Susan leaves behind her loving husband, Diego, their children Juliana and Vincent, her two dogs, Lucy and Argo, her parents, and her siblings Tammy, Charlie (Darlene), Catherine (Gene), Steven (Jenn), Laura, Julie (Jason), and many loving nieces and nephews including her godson Charles P. Sforza, III, all who will forever miss their Tia.

Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Susan's Funeral Service on Friday morning, May 27th at 10 o'clock in the Byfield Parish Church, 132 Jackman Street, Georgetown. Interment will follow at South Byfield Cemetery, Georgetown. Visitation will be on Thursday afternoon from 3 to 7pm in the Conte - Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown.
