Thomas J. ("Tom") Hebert

Thomas J. Hebert, 86, of Georgetown, Massachusetts, formerly of Lynn, passed away on September 4, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and deep connection to family and community. Born and raised in Lynn, Tom was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.

After proudly serving his country in the U.S. Air Force, Tom returned home and built a successful landscaping business which is now run by his son and grandsons. His natural green thumb beautified countless homes and properties. His own yard, always stunning, was a true reflection of his love for nature.

One of Tom’s greatest achievements was purchasing the family home in Georgetown with his father. This home, filled with love and cherished memories, eventually became the place where Tom and his wife of 60 years, Karen, built their own life together. For over six decades, they shared this special home, raising their children and welcoming grandchildren, creating a sanctuary of love, laughter, and togetherness.

Tom leaves behind his wife Karen (Flanigan) Hebert, his children Patricia Ann, Kathleen Marie, Thomas Junior and his wife Patricia Ellen, and his grandchildren Taylor, Kira, Henry and Liam, who were the lights of his life. He took great joy in teaching them the value of hard work, the beauty of nature, and the importance of family.

He will be remembered for his resilience, his generosity, and his compassion for all living things. Friends and family will forever hold dear the memories of gathering at the family home in Georgetown, a place that was not only Tom’s pride and joy but a lasting symbol of his devotion to those he loved.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend Tom's Funeral Service on Tuesday afternoon, September 10, 2024, at 1'oclock in the Conte - Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown. Interment with Military Honors will follow at South Byfield Cemetery, Georgetown. Visitation will be prior to the services from 11am to 1pm.
