William R. Bagley passed away on July 9th, 2025, in the morning hours at his home in Georgetown, Massachusetts. He was 79 years old. He was born in Lynn, Massachusetts, on December 26th, 1945, in a snowstorm, to the late William S. Bagley and Audrey (Cordes) Bagley. He very bravely served his country in Vietnam from 1967-1969, where he received several medals.
He was always very routined and neat. He was very athletic, a lover of running, swimming, and sports. He was a big fan of any New England team and sport, but was the biggest fan you’d ever know of the Boston Red Sox. He also loved history and westerns. He loved music, singing, and drawing. He also always had a strong love for animals and pets the family had over the years, mostly dogs and cats. He is predeceased by a few very special animals to his heart: Dogs Henry and Duke, and a cat Duchess.
He was a proud Irishman, a son, a brother, a soldier, a husband, an uncle, a father, a grandfather, a great grandfather, a friend.
He is survived by his cherished wife, Joyce (Cimino) Bagley of 56 years, 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren: who were the best part of his life and memories. Also survived by the whole Cimino family, a big Italian family full of love that accepted him with the most open arms.
Predeceased by his father, William S. Bagley, and mother, Audrey (Cordes) Bagley, of Lynn, Massachusetts. Also predeceased by his brother, Donald Bagley, of Florida. He leaves behind his sister, Jeanene Fowle Bagley, of Massachusetts. He also leaves behind, and is survived by his loving wife, Joyce (Cimino) Bagley; their children: Toni Bagley (and Richard Abbott), of Andover, Massachusetts; Carolyn Bagley (and John Sullivan), of Maine; and Billy D. Bagley, of Georgetown, Massachusetts. He leaves his grandson, Derek Bagley (son of Toni Bagley), his wife
Tara, and their 4 children, of Windham, New Hampshire; his beloved deceased grandson, Justin Thurlo (son of Billy D. Bagley).
granddaughter Paige LaMarco (daughter of Carolyn Bagley), husband Orlando, and their 2 children, of Salem, Massachusetts. granddaughter Jackie Gavin (daughter of Carolyn Bagley) and husband Dyllan, of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Kerri Abbot (daughter of Toni Bagley) and fiancé Chad of Andover, Massachusetts; grandson Billy S. Bagley (son of Billy D. Bagley), and his 2 children.
The family will be having a private celebration of life for their beloved Bill at a later date.
